In Her Memory - Why I Relay

 A few years ago, I lost a woman that meant the world to me, my mother. She had battled cancer three times and twice she won that battle. But the third round with a cancer we thought was well and done, would return to claim her life. She was an inspiration to all of us kids growing up. We were all adopted and she took care of us as well as our adopted father who ended up having Multiple Sclerosis. Life was never as she planned it to be, but she forged onward and showed us a strength that rarely can be seen. She is the biggest reason that I relay now, the other being my own past battles with cancer. So far, my own have remained in remission for which I am grateful each and every day. It's a reminder to live each day like it is your last. Dance in the rain and smile while doing it. Go and explore, experience new things, meet new friends, perhaps try a new hobby. Heck, jump out of a perfectly good airplane if that is your inspiration. But, LIVE and stay strong.

What a Magical World

A magical clearing in the forest where the fairies and trolls an co-exist in piece with a friendly gnome.  These adorable residents of the forest can be found at The Fantasy Fair April 23- May 10.

  This event is a yearly event which draws all fantasy lovers to their amazing sims The theme is of course fantasy with the message clearly stated: Many Realms – One Vision. Fantasy Faire 2020: To support Relay for Life’s vision of a world without cancer. Froggy Went a Courtin

 Out in the woods sits a little house of strange color, it stands out amidst the green of the neighboring foliage. The strangest thing seen was the inhabitants who once lived there, a beautiful princess and her devoted companion. Or at least, she was beautiful once before the magic became mismanaged and turned them both into frogs. The power of the spell seen in the strange topiary about the yard, vivid colors,  trees sparkle with magic and stones swirl to a silent rhythm, and even a piano garden with playable keys. Princess Amphia and her loyal knight were off to the critters magical ball where there was always the hope a spell could be broken by the good fairies. Wait..GOOD fairies? Is there such a thing?! They would soon find out, I suppose..

Altered Reality

 I had come home from the fair to find some changes had occured in our home. It looked like our daughter, Moony had moved in with all the tentacles on the loose. But, the most disturbing thing was the creatures, yes...creatures inhabiting the bedroom! Especially one very big fat ummm thing..on the bed. I stood there, wondering what to do about this when I heard a loud sound from the bathroom, hurtring in there I found even more tentacles and some very eerie looking furniture.  What was happening?!! Deciding to consult my library for a clue, I made my way downstairs to the study, only..the study appeared to look more like a captains room on a ship, was that a shark that just swam past my window?!! Oh my head, was I hallucinating, perhaps I had some strange form of dementia. I better make an appointment to be seen and soon.

The Grand Opening Party

 It was the party of the year! All of the town's citizens had been invited to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Arkham Sanitarium. A place where their loved ones with special peculiarities could get the very best care with Nurse Ratchet, Doctor Payne, and the special needs surgeon, Doctor Butcher. Oh it was going to be fantastic! But, no matter how much they had hoped, the sun wasn't to come out that day, rather, a brown haze covered the air, and fog drifted over the ground, reaching it's ghostly fingers towards those who dared to show up. There was even a ghostly visage of the Founder's face as he looked upon the gathering, insisting each take a shower before joining the rest, a strange quirk of his..that reached out from beyond the grave.

 LoveFest opens tomorrow and wow are we excited! There are so many things to do and see! Special entertainment, readings, parties, shopping, exclusives, even a hunt! LoveFest 2018: A Path to Madness runs from August 17 -26. Strange things are going to be afoot during this week, come join us for the fun..if you dare...
